Explosion-Proof Bullet Network Camera

The China Bks BL-EX320NI-I8 is a 2 MP explosion-proof IR fixed bullet network camera built for hazardous-area surveillance. It captures 1920 × 1080 video at 30 fps using a 1/3" progressive scan CMOS sensor and a 4 mm fixed lens. The housing meets IP68 waterproofing and carries explosion-proof certification for oil, gas or chemical sites.

Installation and Common Issues

The camera supports ONVIF for straightforward integration with compliant NVRs or VMS platforms. A 4 mm M12 lens provides 83° horizontal and 45° vertical field of view. Pan, tilt and rotate adjustments cover 0° to 360°, 0° to 90° and 0° to 360° respectively. Installers must verify conduit seals and grounding to maintain the explosion-proof rating.

Ideal Use and Limitations

This model suits facilities that require certified explosion-proof monitoring with 1080p resolution and H.265+ compression. Buyers needing motorised zoom, higher megapixel counts or wider dynamic range than 120 dB should look elsewhere. The fixed 4 mm focal length cannot be changed after purchase.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the BL-EX320NI-I8 is recording correctly after installation?

Log into the camera web interface and confirm the main stream shows 1920×1080 at 30 fps with H.265+ encoding; the status page should report 120 dB WDR active and IR cut filter switching automatically in low light.

What does the BL-EX320NI-I8 package include and what must I source separately?

The unit ships with the explosion-proof bullet camera body, 4 mm fixed M12 lens, and mounting bracket; you must supply a PoE switch or 12 V DC power adapter, network cabling, and an ONVIF-compatible NVR or VMS for recording.

Which fixed lens option — 4 mm, 6 mm or 8 mm — suits my coverage area?

The 4 mm lens gives 83° horizontal and 45° vertical FOV for wide scenes; 6 mm narrows to 51° × 29° for mid-range detail; 8 mm provides 39° × 22° for long-distance identification.
