Explosion-Proof 8MP Bullet Camera

The China Bks BL-EX380NI-I5 is an explosion-proof IR bullet network camera built for hazardous-area surveillance. It uses a 1/3" progressive scan CMOS sensor to capture 3840 × 2160 video at up to 30 fps. A fixed 4 mm F1.6 lens provides an 83° horizontal field of view. The housing meets IP68 waterproofing and carries an explosion-proof rating for industrial environments.

120dB WDR and Triple-Stream Encoding

Wide dynamic range of 120 dB balances extreme contrast in bright and dark zones without extra hardware. Video compression supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 with bit rates from 256 Kbps to 16 Mbps. Three simultaneous streams allow independent recording, live view and mobile preview resolutions. Smart IR delivers 0 lux illumination in total darkness while 3D DNR reduces noise at low light levels.

For Classified-Zone Perimeter Monitoring

This camera suits oil, gas and chemical sites requiring certified explosion-proof enclosures and fixed 4 mm coverage. Installers needing motorised zoom, wider lens options or built-in analytics beyond basic behaviour analysis should look elsewhere. Buyers without hazardous-area certification requirements will find simpler, less costly bullet cameras for general-purpose use.

Questions about this item

Will the IR-cut filter or the 4 mm fixed lens on the BL-EX380NI-I5 need scheduled replacement?

The IR-cut filter has an auto-switch mechanism and the 4 mm lens is fixed with no moving parts, so neither component requires scheduled replacement under normal operation.

What is the first limit reached when the camera records 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps continuously?

The 16 Mbps maximum video bit rate caps the sustained high-resolution stream before storage or network bandwidth becomes a constraint.

How much heat does the explosion-proof housing dissipate when the IR LEDs run all night?

The IP68-rated enclosure is passively cooled; with a maximum draw of 12 W the housing stays within safe surface temperatures during 24-hour IR operation.
