Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point supports 400 clients per unit with 1.49 Gbit/s throughput and PoE power
The Cisco Business 150AX is a dual-band wireless access point built on the Wi-Fi 6 standard. It operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies with internal omnidirectional antennas. The unit supports a maximum data rate of 1.49 Gbit/s and connects to the wired network through a single 10/100/1000M port powered by PoE.
This access point suits organisations that want to manage up to 1000 clients across a group of CBW150AX and CBW151AXM devices using only a web browser or mobile app. It is not for environments that require a physical hardware controller or that need to mix this model with other Cisco wireless families in the same management domain.
The access point draws a maximum of 9.2 W from a PoE or PoE+ switch, so no separate power supply is needed. Its compact 150 mm square form factor fits standard ceiling tiles and wall brackets. The gigabit Ethernet uplink feeds both data and power, freeing AC outlets for other equipment while the 16 VLANs and WPA2/WPA3 security segment traffic for guests and staff.

The unit draws up to 9.2 W via IEEE 802.3af/at PoE on its single 10/100/1000M port, so a PoE-capable switch or mid-span injector is required unless a separate power adapter is sourced.
Yes, a group containing only CBW150AX and CBW151AXM devices can be managed as a single entity through the integrated WebUI or the Cisco Business Mobile app without a physical controller or licensing.
Connect a Wi-Fi 6 client and confirm it negotiates 802.11ax data rates up to 1200 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band, and check the WebUI dashboard for MU-MIMO activity with two spatial streams.
