Clarity CLRT-D714 Amplified Cordless Phone

The Clarity CLRT-D714 is a DECT 6.0 cordless telephone designed for users who need significantly louder and clearer incoming audio. It amplifies sound up to 40dB and includes a built-in digital answering machine for message recording. Adjustable tone control with four settings allows listeners to tailor the audio profile to their specific hearing preferences. This handset suits home or office environments where standard volume levels are insufficient.

DECT 6.0 Interference-Free Operation

DECT 6.0 technology provides a wireless link that avoids common interference from Wi-Fi networks, microwave ovens, or other household electronics. The cordless design eliminates power draw from a handset cord and keeps the base station as the single mains-powered unit. Normal use involves placing the handset in the charging cradle when not active, maintaining battery readiness without audible fan noise or thermal output from the handset itself.

Single Base Station Setup

The system centres on one base unit that connects to a standard telephone line jack and a mains outlet for power. No additional network wiring, router ports, or broadband connection is required for voice calls. The digital answering machine stores messages locally on the base, freeing the user from external voicemail services or monthly fees. Expansion handsets can be registered to the same base if the model supports them, reducing the need for multiple wall jacks.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the CLRT-D714 base and handset, and what step is often missed?

Plug the base into a phone jack and mains power, then place the handset on the cradle to charge fully before first use; the step often missed is allowing a complete initial charge so the DECT 6.0 link registers correctly.

Which parts of the CLRT-D714 will need replacement over time?

The handset rechargeable batteries will lose capacity after extended use and should be replaced with compatible cells; the digital answering machine and base unit have no user-replaceable components.

What limit appears first during long calls on the CLRT-D714?

The handset battery runtime limits continuous talk time; when the charge runs low the amplified 40 dB audio and tone-control settings will stop until the handset is returned to the base for recharging.
