Clear 4x6ft PE tarp with 90% transparency

This clear polyethylene sheeting measures four by six feet and offers ninety percent light transmission for greenhouse, balcony or pet enclosure use. The eight-mil thickness and 120 g/m² weight provide a durable barrier against rain and wind while still allowing full visibility of plants or animals inside.

Heat-sealed edges and rope-reinforced hem resist

All four sides are heat-sealed and folded with poly rope sewn into the hem from end to end, preventing deformation during sustained wind loads. Corner reinforcement plates and aluminium eyelets distribute pulling forces evenly so the sheet stays intact over long periods.

Rustproof grommets every twenty inches

Grommets spaced at fifty-centimetre intervals run along each edge for versatile tie-down options. The package includes a thirty-three-foot polyester rope and twenty zip ties, enabling immediate installation on frames, fences or roof structures without extra hardware.

Questions about this item

How much light does the 90% transparent PE sheeting let through when it is covering a greenhouse all day?

The material transmits 90% of daylight, so plants receive almost full sun while staying protected from rain and wind.

What fixings are already in the box so I can secure the tarp without buying extra hardware?

The package includes the 4×6 ft sheet with rustproof grommets every 20 inches, a 33 ft polyester rope and 20 zip ties for immediate tie-down.

Will the 8 Mil reinforced edges and heat-sealed seams hold up against the frame of an older cold-frame I already own?

Poly rope is sewn into the hem on all four sides and corners have plastic protectors with aluminum eyelets, giving strong attachment points that resist tearing on existing frames.
