  • Protects tent floor from wear and tear with ripstop 210T polyester and waterproof coating
  • Weighs only 9.8 oz and packs down to the size of a cellphone in its drawstring bag
  • Measures 87 x 59 inches to fit two-person tents and other similarly sized shelters
  • Works as tent footprint, sunshade, beach mat, hammock rain fly or general tarp shelter
  • Features factory-sealed seams and metal grommets for secure staking and pole attachment

Essential tent protection

This heavy duty tarp acts as a ground cloth under tents to prevent wear and add waterproofing. It is made from ripstop 210T Poly with a superior waterproof coating and factory-sealed seams. Metal grommets allow secure staking or pole attachment. The sheet helps extend the life of your shelter in rough conditions.

Pack size and weight limits

The footprint folds into a drawstring bag measuring 7.8 by 5.1 by 5.1 inches, roughly the size of a cellphone. It weighs 9.8 ounces, adding minimal load to a pack. The compact bundle fits easily inside a backpack but offers no insulation or structure on its own. It is a single layer barrier, not a standalone shelter floor.

Coverage and multi-use headroom

The 87 by 59 inch dimensions suit a two person tent floor with a small margin. It works well as a sunshade, beach picnic base or hammock rain fly. The sheet will not cover larger family tents or provide full wrap around protection in driving rain. Builders needing a second tarp for a vestibule or gear store should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I choose the right footprint size for my tent?

This footprint measures 87 by 59 inches, so select it when your tent floor is the same size or slightly smaller to ensure full coverage and protection from ground moisture and abrasion.

What does the 210T ripstop polyester with waterproof coating mean for actual campsite use?

The 210T ripstop fabric resists tearing on rocky ground while the coating keeps groundwater from seeping through, so the tent floor stays dry even after heavy rain.

How do the metal grommets and factory-sealed seams work with stakes or poles in practice?

The grommets accept standard tent stakes or pole tips to anchor the sheet securely, and the sealed seams prevent water from wicking through the stitch lines when the ground is wet.
