The ClearClick AV2HDMI 2.0 turns composite AV or RCA signals into HDMI 720P or 1080P output for modern televisions and monitors. It works with VCRs, camcorders, DVD players, Hi8 devices and retro gaming consoles that use yellow, white and red cables. The unit operates plug-and-play without a computer or driver installation. It only converts from analogue to HDMI, not the reverse.

Upscaling to 1080P with 4:3 preservation

The converter upscales incoming video to 720P or 1080P and offers a 4:3 aspect-ratio mode that adds black bars on the sides instead of stretching the picture horizontally. A 16:9 mode is also available to fill the screen. USB capture records at 640x480 pixels to a PC or Mac using included software with no drivers required. The device does not accept HDMI input or output analogue signals.

Passive operation with side-mounted controls

The adapter draws power from the source or an external USB supply and runs silently with no fan. Output resolution and aspect ratio are selected by physical switches on the side of the enclosure. No software configuration is needed for basic conversion, and the capture function uses standard UVC drivers already present in Windows and macOS.
