Cleveland C46904 Port Tool — 13/16 Inch Size

This Cleveland C46904 port tool is a high-speed steel aircraft length counterbore with an interchangeable pilot. It is designed for precision hole finishing in aviation and industrial maintenance applications where reach and accuracy matter.

Interchangeable Pilot and Bright Finish

The interchangeable pilot allows the operator to match the guide diameter to the specific hole being worked, reducing setup time on repetitive tasks. The bright high-speed steel surface resists corrosion and provides clear visibility of the cutting edges during use.

Suited for Aircraft and Precision Machining

This tool suits mechanics and machinists who need a 13/16 inch counterbore with a 2.813 inch overall length and 0.250 inch shank diameter. It is not intended for hand-drill use without rigid guidance, nor for materials that require coated or carbide tooling.

Questions about this item

How often will the high-speed steel counterbore need resharpening or replacement?

The high-speed steel body resists wear during normal port work; resharpen when cutting edges dull rather than on a fixed schedule.

What dimension limits the maximum depth of cut in a single pass?

The 2.813" overall length sets the practical reach, so deeper ports require multiple passes or a longer tool.

How much heat builds up in the .250" diameter shank during extended use?

The small shank dissipates heat quickly; use cutting fluid and allow cool-down periods to prevent excessive temperature rise.
