Product Identity

The Climax Metal Products C-281 is a set screw collar supplied new. It belongs to the bearings, V-belts and power transmission equipment category, yet it is listed under sports memorabilia and collectibles. The component has a transparent finish.

Suitability

Buyers needing a replacement collar for an existing Climax assembly will find this item matches the original specification. Collectors looking for vintage hardware with a clear finish may also be interested. Those who require a different bore size, material or locking style should look elsewhere.

Capacity and Headroom

The collar secures a shaft using a set screw mechanism appropriate for light power transmission duties. It handles standard axial loads within its design limits. Excessive torque or vibration beyond the rated capacity will cause slippage or damage.
