Questions about this item

Does the C-393 set screw collar generate noticeable heat or noise when installed on a shaft running continuously?

The C-393 is a passive mechanical collar with no moving parts, so it produces no noise and negligible heat during continuous shaft rotation.

What shaft diameter must I already have for the C-393 set screw collar to clamp correctly?

The C-393 is manufactured for a specific bore size; you need a shaft that matches that exact diameter for the set screw to hold securely.

Will the C-393 set screw collar fit alongside older shaft components such as legacy bearings or pulleys without spacing issues?

The collar’s width and bore are fixed, so it will sit flush against adjacent legacy components only if their combined tolerances match the shaft length available.
