F/A-18E Super Hornet 1:48 scale model

This 570-piece building-block kit reproduces the F/A-18E Super Hornet as seen in the film under the official TOP GUN: Maverick™ licence. It is aimed at builders aged 7 and up who enjoy licensed aviation models and movie-themed collectibles. The set includes a display stand and name plaque for finished presentation.

Step up from smaller unlicensed kits

Moving from generic brick aircraft to this licensed model adds authentic film markings, high-quality prints and stickers, a movable canopy, rotating wheels and a detailed weapons load-out. The jump is worth it when the official licence, the pilot figure and the display stand matter more than a basic build.

1:48 scale defines the footprint

At 1:48 the finished model occupies a fixed display area that limits how many similar kits can share a shelf. The block construction also means the model is not suited for rough play or outdoor exposure. Builders needing larger scales or die-cast durability will find this format restrictive.

Questions about this item

What size display area does the 1:48 scale model need?

The finished model fits on the included block display stand, which holds the aircraft and its name plaque at 1:48 scale.

Which step do builders often skip when fitting the movable canopy and rotating wheels?

The canopy and wheels are separate sub-assemblies; attach them after the main fuselage is complete so they move freely.

How do I replace a lost sticker from the 570-piece set?

The high-quality printed stickers are not sold separately; keep the sheet safe or contact the manufacturer for a replacement sheet.
