Converts a PSU 6-pin output to an EPS 8-pin or 4-pin CPU connector, 33 cm braided cable with 18 AWG wire
This COMeap 373901 adapter converts a power supply 6 pin PCIe output into an EPS-12V 8 pin (4+4 detachable) or P4 ATX 4 pin motherboard input. It targets builders using dual, quad or server boards that require an EPS-12V connection but only have a 6 pin source available. The cable is not designed for graphics cards and will be damaged if used that way.
The 13 inch (33 cm) braided 18 AWG cable includes self-adhesive tape for securing the run inside the chassis. The detachable 4+4 male end slides apart so it can fit either an 8 pin EPS socket or a 4 pin ATX socket without forcing the connector. A frequent mistake is plugging the adapter into a GPU power socket instead of the motherboard CPU socket, which the supplier warns will burn the cable.
The adapter relies on the power supply 6 pin port to deliver the current the motherboard EPS-12V or ATX 4 pin socket expects. If the PSU 6 pin rail cannot supply enough amperage for a multi-CPU server board, the system will not start or will become unstable. The 18 AWG conductors and 13 inch length set a fixed voltage-drop budget that cannot be extended by daisy-chaining. The cable serves only motherboard CPU power and cannot replace a native 8 pin EPS cable from the PSU.

The system should POST normally and show no CPU power warnings in BIOS or the OS; the 18AWG conductors and braided shielding are rated for EPS-12V loads on dual, quad or server boards.
The package includes one 13-inch (33 cm) 6-pin female to 8-pin (4+4 detachable) male cable and one self-adhesive tape; no extra parts are needed if your PSU has a 6-pin output and the motherboard uses an 8-pin or 4-pin EPS socket.
The single 373901 model covers both: the 8-pin (4+4) male end splits so you can use the full 8-pin EPS-12V connector or slide off the 4-pin section for a P4 ATX 4-pin socket.
