SFP transceiver delivers 1000Mbps fibre connectivity with LC connectors for Core Switch 2/64
This COMPAQ A6515A transceiver adds a 1000Mbps fibre link to HP StorageWorks Core Switch 2/64 equipment. It uses an LC connector and the shortwave optical format. The small form-factor pluggable design fits the switch's standard SFP slots.
The module upgrades a copper port or replaces a failed transceiver on the Core Switch 2/64 platform. It is not for switches outside the StorageWorks Core Switch 2/64 line or for links requiring longwave optics. Buyers needing a different reach or connector type should look elsewhere.

Yes, the module is built with LC connectors that match the fibre ports on the StorageWorks Core Switch 2/64.
Slide the transceiver into an open SFP slot until the latch clicks, then remove the dust caps and attach the fibre cables; forgetting to remove the caps blocks the light path.
