Varifocal CS-mount lens with 10-30mm range and f1.4 aperture for 1/2-inch format cameras
The Computar Ganz H3Z1014CS is a varifocal CCTV lens built for CS-mount cameras using 1/2" format sensors. It provides a 10-30mm focal length range so installers can adjust the field of view on site without replacing the lens. A manual iris and focus rings give direct control over exposure and sharpness. The all-glass optics and metal barrel suit professional surveillance installations.
The aspherical lens surface maintains corner-to-corner sharpness throughout the iris range of f/1.4 to 16C. This design keeps image quality stable whether the scene is brightly lit or captured in low-light conditions at the maximum aperture. Locking setscrews secure the chosen zoom and focus positions against vibration. The minimum focus distance of .6 m supports close-up detail when required.
The iris cannot open wider than f/1.4 or close beyond f/16C, which defines the exposure latitude for any lighting situation. Coverage is limited to 1/2" sensors; larger formats would vignette and smaller sensors would not use the full image circle. The CS-mount flange distance prevents use on C-mount cameras without an adapter. Manual operation means no auto-iris or motorised zoom support.

This is a passive optical lens with no moving electronics, so it produces no audible noise and negligible heat while mounted on a CS-mount camera.
You need a CS-mount camera equipped with a 1/2" format sensor to attach and use this varifocal lens correctly.
The lens is designed for 1/2" sensors; on a 1/3" sensor the field of view narrows and vignetting may occur at the 10mm wide end.
