Varifocal IR-corrected lens for CS-mount day/night cameras with 1/2" sensors, 4.5-12.5mm focal range, f/1.2 aperture, DC auto iris, and manual zoom/focus
The Computar Ganz HG3Z4512FCS-IR is a varifocal CCTV lens built for CS-mount cameras using 1/2" format sensors. It covers a 4.5-12.5mm focal range with 3x optical zoom and a bright f/1.2 maximum aperture. All-glass aspherical optics and IR correction eliminate focus shift when switching between day and night modes. Manual zoom and focus rings include locking set screws for a fixed setup.
This lens suits installers who must adjust the viewing angle after the camera is mounted, avoiding a return trip to reposition the hardware. The DC auto iris automatically controls exposure across changing light conditions. Buyers using cameras with larger sensor formats or non-CS mounts should look elsewhere, as the optical circle and flange distance are matched specifically to 1/2" CS-mount devices.
The bundled locking set screws let technicians lock both zoom and focus positions once the scene is framed, preventing vibration or tampering from shifting the image. A durable metal barrel and mount resist wear during repeated adjustments. IR-corrected glass maintains sharp focus under infrared illumination without the focus drift common on standard lenses.

The lens is built for CS-mount cameras that use a 1/2" format sensor.
No — the lens needs a camera that supplies DC auto-iris drive; a video-iris output will not control the aperture.
Switch the camera to night mode with IR illumination active; the image should stay sharp without refocusing.
