Medium-range IR illuminator

The Computar Ganz IRL-M6 is a medium-range LED infrared illuminator built for security camera systems that need supplemental night-time lighting. It suits installers who want a single unit that covers wide or narrow fields without swapping hardware.

Vandal-resistant all-weather build

An anodised aluminium body rated IP67 resists dust, water and physical abuse in outdoor settings. A pressure equalisation vent prevents internal condensation, while the supplied stainless-steel wall-mount bracket provides a solid fixed mounting point.

Fixed 60-degree beam and 115-foot reach

The 60º beam angle and 115' maximum range define the illumination footprint; wider or narrower coverage requires a different model. Power options are limited to 12 V DC or 24 V AC, so sites without those supplies cannot use the unit.

Questions about this item

What does the 60º beam angle mean for the IRL-M6's 115' infrared range?

The 60º angle produces a medium-width illumination pattern that reaches 115 feet, balancing coverage area and distance for perimeter or doorway monitoring.

What physical mounting hardware is included with the IRL-M6 for installation?

A stainless steel wall mount bracket is supplied, allowing direct attachment to vertical surfaces without separate hardware purchases.

How is the IRL-M6 powered and what wiring step is commonly overlooked?

It accepts 12 V DC or 24 V AC; the photocell adjustment potentiometer must be set after wiring so the IR activates at the correct ambient light level.
