Varifocal 2.9-8.2mm f1.0 lens for 1/3" CS-mount cameras with DC auto iris and IR-corrected optics for day/night surveillance
The Computar Ganz TG3Z2910FCS-IR is a varifocal lens built for CS-mount cameras using 1/3" format sensors. It covers a 2.9-8.2mm focal range with a bright f/1.0 maximum aperture. Manual zoom and focus rings let installers adjust the field of view without repositioning the camera. The DC auto iris automatically controls exposure across changing light levels.
All-glass aspherical elements are IR-corrected so the focal plane stays consistent when the camera switches to night mode under infrared illumination. This eliminates the focus shift and infrared bleed that degrade image sharpness on standard lenses. Locking set screws secure the chosen zoom and focus positions against vibration. A durable metal barrel and mount withstand repeated handling during setup.
The lens is designed exclusively for 1/3" sensors; larger formats will vignette or under-utilise the image circle. CS-mount spacing is required, so C-mount cameras need an adapter ring not supplied here. The f/1.0 to 360C aperture range handles low light and bright scenes but does not extend beyond the specified iris control. Focus operates from 0.5 m to infinity; subjects closer than 0.5 m cannot be brought into sharp focus.
