USB 2.0 Bandwidth and Signal Limits

The device operates at USB 1.1 or 2.0 speeds from 1.5 up to 480 Mbps with automatic link detection. Each serial channel handles data rates from 300 bps to 921.6K bps using 2K byte transmit and receive buffers. Port signals are selected by internal DIP switches accessed through the bottom panel. It does not support USB 3.0 or higher throughput, so total aggregate bandwidth is capped at the USB 2.0 bulk endpoint limit.

5-Pin Screw Terminal Blocks per Port

Every port uses a 5-pin screw-lock terminal block for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 wiring, including 2-wire half-duplex RS-485 with auto-transmit control. On-board biasing and termination resistors are configured by the same DIP switches. The package includes a 12 V 1 A AC-to-DC power supply for port protection rated at 15 KV ESD and 600 W surge per port. Buyers who require standard DB9 connectors must use a different adapter.
