Cat8 30 ft shielded ethernet cable

This 30 ft Cat8 patch cord uses 26 AWG pure copper conductors with aluminium foil and woven mesh shielding under a PVC jacket. It is rated for 2000 MHz bandwidth and supports 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T links up to 40 Gbps. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors are fitted at both ends. The construction is rated for indoor and outdoor use including direct burial.

Suited for high-speed LAN links

The cable serves small and mid-size enterprise LANs, data-centre switch-to-server runs, and any device with an RJ45 port such as routers, switches, servers, PCs, consoles or printers. It is not for fibre-only installations, for runs that exceed the Cat8 channel limit, or for buyers who need pre-terminated fibre or a different connector type.

Sustained 2000 MHz operation with full shielding

The SFTP construction maintains signal integrity at the full 2000 MHz rating during continuous 25GBASE-T or 40GBASE-T traffic, reducing alien crosstalk and EMI over long periods. Backward compatibility with Cat5 through Cat7 equipment is preserved without performance loss. The rugged PVC jacket and dual shielding withstand environmental stress in permanent indoor or outdoor installations.

Questions about this item

What devices must already have RJ45 ports to use this Cat 8 cable?

Any device with a standard RJ45 jack — router, modem, switch, PC, printer, console, TV box, patch panel or server — will connect directly to the gold-plated plugs on this 30 ft cable.

Will the 2000 MHz Cat 8 cable work with my existing Cat 5e and Cat 6a patch leads?

Yes, the Cat 8 patch cord is fully backward compatible with Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6a and Cat 7 RJ45 cabling, so it can sit alongside older cables in the same network.

How can I confirm the link is running at 25GBASE-T or 40GBASE-T after installation?

Check the port status on your switch or NIC; it should report a 25 Gbps or 40 Gbps link speed and show the connection operating at the 2000 MHz frequency supported by the SFTP construction.
