Connects a DisplayPort source to an HDMI, DVI or VGA display at up to 1920x1080p with 7.1 audio, 15 cm cable and latched connector
The Corn Electronics adapter connects a DisplayPort source to one HDMI, DVI or VGA display at a time. It supports video up to 1920x1080p and uncompressed 7.1, 5.1 or 2-channel audio. A 15 cm attached cable and latching DisplayPort plug keep the link secure. Separate HDMI, DVI or VGA cables are required and not included.
This unit consolidates three legacy video outputs into one compact block so you no longer need a separate adapter for each display type. The jump is worth it when you regularly switch between an HDTV, a DVI monitor and a VGA projector but only ever drive one screen at a time. It does not serve buyers who need simultaneous multi-monitor output or bidirectional signal conversion.
The 8.5 x 6.7 x 1.4 cm housing slips into a laptop bag and the gold-plated connectors resist corrosion for stable transmission. When connected to a TV, audio exits only through the HDMI port; with a monitor, a separate speaker is needed for sound. The adapter draws no external power and requires a free DisplayPort socket on the host.

The adapter body measures 8.5 x 6.7 x 1.4 cm and the attached cable is 15 cm long, so allow at least that depth plus room for the HDMI, DVI or VGA cable you will plug in.
Depress the release button on the DisplayPort connector to disengage the latches before pulling it out; pulling straight out without pressing the button can damage the latch mechanism.
Yes, audio does not pass through the adapter to VGA or DVI monitors, so you will need a separate speaker or audio cable for sound when using those outputs.
