Short Thunderbolt 4 cable for compact setups

This 0.2m brown cable links USB-C devices at up to 40Gbps while delivering 240W of power. It suits users who need a tidy connection between a laptop and a dock, monitor or high-speed drive without excess length cluttering the desk.

Handles full 240W charging

The cable maintains PD3.1 48V 5A output during extended charging sessions and sustains USB4 2.7G/s data rates for large file transfers. It drives a single 8K display at 60Hz or dual 4K displays at 60Hz without signal degradation over time.

Plug-and-play with standard USB-C ports

Both ends use the universal Type-C connector so no drivers or adapters are required. The short 0.66ft length reduces strain on ports but offers no slack for distant peripherals; buyers needing more reach should choose a longer cable.

Questions about this item

Does the 240W 48V 5A charging generate noticeable heat during all-day use?

The cable supports PD3.1 at 240W 48V 5A maximum; heat depends on the charger and device, not the cable itself.

What must I already own to get 40Gbps data and 8K video from this cable?

You need a host and peripheral with Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 ports, plus a charger that delivers up to 240W if you want maximum power.

Will this 0.2m cable work with my 2016 MacBook Pro and older Type-C docks?

Yes — it is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB4 devices, so a 2016 MacBook Pro and existing Type-C docks will function at their rated speeds.
