This adapter adds a wired RJ45 network port to laptops, tablets or desktops that lack Ethernet or are limited to slower speeds. It presents both a USB-C plug and a USB 3.0 Type-A plug on a short 135 mm cable, so one device fits either port style.

Gigabit throughput with 10/100 fallback

The Realtek 8153b controller delivers full 1000 Mbps performance when connected to a USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 port, and automatically negotiates down to 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps on older switches or cabling. Throughput is capped by the USB 3.0 bus, so 2.5 GbE or 10 GbE networks cannot be saturated.

Driver-free on Windows 7 and later, macOS 10.7+.

Two status LEDs show link and activity without extra software. The aluminium alloy shell aids heat dissipation during sustained transfers. No external power or bundled utilities are included; the package contains only the adapter itself.
