USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 adapter

This two-pack of grey adapters connects a USB-C source with DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3/4 support to a DisplayPort display. Each unit is a compact, unidirectional converter that requires no drivers or software installation.

Blade-shaped connector and portable size

The narrow blade profile prevents blocking adjacent USB-C ports on laptops with tightly spaced connectors. Its miniature form factor allows the adapter to be carried easily in a bag or pocket for presentations or multi-monitor setups on the go.

Replaces older DP 1.2 or HDMI dongles

The jump is worthwhile when you need 8K at 60 Hz bandwidth or when your host only offers USB-C video output and the display accepts DisplayPort input. It will not work with hosts that lack DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3/4, nor does it support DisplayPort-to-USB-C signal direction.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-C port need Thunderbolt 3 or 4 or DP Alt Mode to drive an 8K 60 Hz display?

Yes, the host must support Thunderbolt 3 or 4 or DisplayPort Alt Mode, otherwise the adapter cannot output an 8K 60 Hz signal.

Will the blade-style connector fit side-by-side with other ports on a tightly spaced laptop?

The slim blade profile is designed to sit flush without blocking adjacent USB-C ports on compact laptops.

Is any driver installation required before the adapter will pass video to a DisplayPort monitor?

No driver or software is needed; connect the USB-C source to the adapter and the DisplayPort cable to the display for immediate operation.
