A 2TB M.2 2280 internal SSD with a built-in aluminum heatspreader delivers up to 4950 MBps sequential read and 3700 MBps sequential write over a PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe interface
The Corsair MP600 Core is a consumer internal solid state drive built on the M.2 2280 form factor. It uses a Phison PS5016-E16 controller paired with high-density 3D QLC NAND to deliver 2000GB of capacity. The drive connects through a PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 interface using the NVMe 1.3 protocol. An integrated aluminum heatspreader helps manage thermals during heavy workloads.
The built-in heatspreader disperses heat to reduce throttling so the SSD maintains high performance over extended periods. Active power draw reaches 6.3W during reads and 6.8W during writes while idle consumption stays below 5 mW. The drive is rated for an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and a mean time between failures of 1800000 hours.
Sequential throughput peaks at 4950 MBps read and 3700 MBps write, limited by the four-lane Gen 4.0 link. Random performance reaches 380000 IOPS read and 580000 IOPS write at 4KB block sizes. Total write endurance is specified at 1440 TB written across the drive’s lifespan.

The drive uses the standard M.2 2280 form factor with an integrated heatspreader; most motherboard shields clear it, but check your board's clearance spec to be certain.
It runs at full speed in any PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot and is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 slots at reduced throughput.
It guarantees the drive can accept 1,440 TB of total data writes, which equals roughly 1.3 TB written every day for three years.
