Cortelco ITT-2554 Wall Phone

The Cortelco ITT-2554-MD-AS is a corded wall telephone designed for straightforward voice communication. It features tone dialling and a single-gong ringer housed in an ash-coloured casing with grey buttons. The unit connects directly to a standard telephone line without requiring external power. It serves as a reliable fixed-line endpoint for homes or offices.

Suits buyers needing a basic wall-mounted handset

This phone suits users who want a simple, line-powered device for making and receiving calls on a traditional copper connection. It does not suit buyers who need caller ID display, speakerphone capability, or voicemail indicator lights. It also does not suit installations requiring DECT wireless handsets, VoIP connectivity, or multiple handsets on one base.

Tone dialling with single-gong ringer

The handset uses tone dialling for compatibility with modern exchanges and automated menus. Its single-gong mechanical ringer provides an audible alert for incoming calls. The 255444-VBA-20MD model designation identifies this specific ValueLine configuration. No additional calling features or display functions are included.

Questions about this item

Does the Cortelco ITT-2554-MD-AS require an active telephone line subscription to function?

Yes, this corded phone connects directly to a standard analogue telephone wall jack and needs an active landline service to make or receive calls.

Can I keep my existing rotary-dial extensions on the same line while using this tone-dial model?

The phone uses tone dialling, so it works on modern exchanges; rotary extensions on the same line will still ring, but only tone-capable handsets can dial out.

How do I confirm the single-gong ringer is operating correctly after installation?

Lift the handset, dial your own number from another phone, and listen for the distinctive single-gong ring from the Cortelco unit.
