Cortelco ITT-2554-V-RD red wall phone

The Cortelco ITT-2554-V-RD is a corded telephone designed for direct wall mounting. It features a traditional mini-wall form factor with a red finish and tone dialling. A single-gong ringer provides audible alerts, while volume controls on both the base and handset allow adjustment of ringer and receiver levels. The male slide-mount connector fits straight onto a compatible wall jack without an extra line cord.

Suited for fixed analogue line positions

This phone suits homes or offices that need a simple, powered-by-line handset at a permanent wall location. The integrated slide mount eliminates a separate cord, and the handset volume dial gives quick receive-level changes. Buyers who require a desk-top handset, a longer coiled cord, or a second line appearance should consider other models. The unit does not support cordless expansion or digital PBX features.

Male slide-mount connector for direct wall jack

The defining specification is the male slide-mount connector that plugs directly into a standard wall mount jack. This removes the need for a three-line cord between phone and outlet. A matching wall jack with a built-in DSL filter is referenced as SE-630LCCU-50 for installations that require filtering. Confirm your wall jack type before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the red Cortelco ITT-2554-V-RD generate noticeable heat or noise when left on the wall all day?

It is a passive corded telephone with no powered components, so it produces no heat and no audible fan or coil noise during continuous use.

What wall jack must already be installed for the slide-mount connector to work without an extra cord?

The male slide-mount fits directly onto a standard wall-mount jack, so that jack must be present on the wall before installation.

Will the single-gong ringer and handset volume dial still function properly if I keep using my older analogue telephone line?

Yes, the tone-dial mechanism, single-gong ringer with volume control, and handset volume dial all operate over a standard analogue line without any compatibility issues.
