3-Step Folding Step Stool

The Cosco 11839GGO is a three-step steel stool built for office and commercial use. Its grey frame folds flat for storage and opens to give a stable platform for reaching shelves or fixtures. The unit ships new and has been listed by the manufacturer since February 14, 2011.

Installation and common issues

No assembly is required; the stool unfolds and locks into position in seconds. Users should ensure the spreader bars are fully seated before climbing, as a partially locked frame can shift under weight. On smooth floors the rubber feet may slide, so a non-slip mat is advisable.

Capacity limits and headroom

The three steps provide enough height for typical ceiling tiles, light fittings and upper filing cabinets. The steel construction supports a single adult for light maintenance tasks. It is not suited for two-person loads, heavy tool belts or prolonged standing on the top step.
