Lawn Roller for Lawn Repair

This Costway lawn roller is built for homeowners and groundskeepers who need to level uneven turf caused by moles or frost heave. The steel drum rolls smoothly over grass to pack down loose soil and newly seeded or sodded areas. Its green powder-coated frame resists corrosion during repeated outdoor use.

17-Gallon Fill Capacity Determines Weight

The drum holds 17 gallons of water or sand, letting you adjust the rolling pressure for different tasks. Filled with water the unit weighs approximately 165 lbs, and with sand it reaches about 242 lbs. Choose the fill material based on the compaction force your lawn requires.

Simple Assembly With U-Shaped Handle

The roller ships in one box with an instruction sheet and assembles quickly using the ergonomic U-shaped handle for push or pull operation. Rounded drum edges help prevent turf damage during turns. At 30 lbs empty, it moves easily into storage, though the 43-inch length needs adequate shed or garage space.

Questions about this item

How heavy does the 17-gallon drum get when I fill it with water?

The drum reaches about 165 lbs when filled with water, giving enough weight to press seed or sod into the soil.

What size tow hitch or pin does the roller need to attach to a lawn tractor?

The unit is built for manual push-pull use with its U-shaped handle; no tow hitch or pin is included or required.

Will the 36-inch wide drum fit through a standard 36-inch garden gate?

The drum itself is 36 inches wide, while the overall frame measures 43 inches long, so a gate wider than 36 inches is needed for clearance.
