Vestil Side-Mount Floor Lock

This side-mount floor lock is designed to secure mobile equipment fitted with 2-inch casters. It provides a stable, stationary position for carts and wheelbarrows during loading or work tasks. The unit mounts directly to the equipment frame using the specified bolt-hole pattern.

For stationary security on 2-inch casters

It suits operators who need to immobilise carts, work platforms or wheelbarrows on level floors. Buyers whose equipment uses a different caster diameter or a top-mount brake style should look at other locking solutions. The fixed mounting dimensions also require the frame to match the listed bolt-hole spacing exactly.

15 3/4 in caster mounting height

The lock is built for a caster mounting height of 15 3/4 in, with a retracted height of 15 15/16 in and an extended height of 18 in. Verify that your equipment matches these heights and the C-pattern bolt spacing before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the side-mount floor lock require any lubrication or part replacement over time?

The steel construction has no serviceable parts listed; no lubrication schedule or replacement interval is specified by the manufacturer.

What stops the lock from holding after prolonged daily use?

The limiting factor is the mechanical engagement of the steel foot against the floor; wear on the contact surface or bolt-hole elongation would reduce holding force first.

How much noise or heat does the floor lock generate when left engaged all day?

It produces no operational noise or heat because it is a passive mechanical device with no motor, pump or electrical components.
