65 W adapter for Surface devices

This 65 W power adapter supplies 15 V at 4 A for compatible Microsoft Surface Book, Surface Pro, Surface Laptop and Surface Go models. It accepts 100-240 V input at 50/60 Hz for worldwide use. A 2 metre cord connects the brick to the wall outlet. The unit is new and finished in black.

Ideal for owners needing a replacement or spare

Users who want a single charger that covers multiple Surface generations will find this convenient. The integrated USB port adds 5 V 1 A charging for a phone or small accessory. Buyers whose device requires a different voltage, a higher wattage or a proprietary connector not listed here should look at another adapter.

Output specification determines compatibility

The adapter delivers a fixed 15 V 4 A output rated at 65 W. Only devices designed for that exact voltage and current will charge correctly and safely. Verify the required output on the original power supply before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the CPY 1706 produce when running all day?

The adapter has no fan and no moving parts, so it runs silently. Typical warmth is normal for a 65 W unit under continuous load.

What must I already own for the CPY 1706 to work?

You need a compatible Microsoft Surface device that charges via the proprietary magnetic connector and a standard wall outlet.

Will the CPY 1706 charge my Surface Book 2 alongside an older Surface Pro 4 I still use?

Yes, the adapter supports both Surface Book 2 and Surface Pro 4, plus the 5 V 1 A USB port can charge a phone at the same time.
