Portable Cassette Player Recorder AM/FM Radio

The Craig CS2304 combines a stereo cassette player and recorder with an AM/FM radio in a compact black unit. It operates on 1.5 volt battery power and includes a built-in microphone for one-touch recording. A 3.5mm headphone jack and earphones are provided for private listening. The device measures 20 inches and weighs 0.29 kilograms.

Listeners who want tape playback

This suits anyone wanting to play existing cassettes or make voice recordings using the built-in microphone while away from a power outlet. Buyers who need mains-powered operation or line-level recording inputs should consider other equipment. The simple five-key layout and rotary volume control favour straightforward use over advanced features.

Battery powered operation at 1.5 volts

The player draws power from a single 1.5 volt cell, so there is no internal mains adapter or rechargeable battery. Users must supply their own battery to operate the cassette mechanism, radio tuner covering 108 MHz, and microphone preamp. This constraint defines where and how long the unit can be used without interruption.
