Classroom chalk set

Crayola model 510816 supplies twelve sticks of fine-grade commercial chalk in assorted colours. The non-toxic formulation is designed for use on most standard chalkboard surfaces. Teachers and students receive a full box for daily lessons or creative work.

Dust and safety profile

Each stick produces a manageable amount of dust during normal writing and erasing. The non-toxic composition meets safety expectations for school environments. No special ventilation or protective equipment is required for typical classroom use.

Basic supply replacement

This box replaces depleted chalk stocks in any setting that relies on traditional boards. The jump is worth it when existing sticks are too short to hold comfortably or when colour variety has run out. Buyers who need liquid markers or dust-free alternatives will not be served by this product.

Questions about this item

How do I prepare the chalkboard before using these Crayola 510816 sticks for the first time?

Wipe the board with a damp cloth to remove dust and let it dry completely; a clean surface prevents the fine-grade commercial chalk from skipping or crumbling on the first strokes.

When will the 12 sticks in the box need replacing?

Replace a stick once it wears down to a stub too short to hold comfortably; the box contains 12 pieces so you can swap in a fresh one immediately.

What is the first sign of wear during a long lesson?

The stick shortens steadily and the tip rounds off, so lines become thicker and dust increases — that is the practical limit during sustained use.
