Crayola Air-Dry Clay 25 lb Value Pack

This 25 lb bulk pack of white air-dry clay is designed for classrooms, art rooms and group creative projects. It arrives new and ready to use without any kiln or oven firing. The material suits traditional hand-building techniques and hardens into durable forms at room temperature.

Capacity and working headroom

Four sealed 6 1/4 lb packs give enough volume for multiple simultaneous projects or extended lesson plans. The clay stays workable while moist and can be softened again with water if it begins to dry. Large single sculptures or many small pieces such as beads and stamped impressions are practical within this quantity.

Practical limits of air-dry hardening

Drying time depends on thickness and ambient conditions, so very thick sections may take longer to cure evenly. The finished pieces are paintable and varnishable but remain porous and are not waterproof unless sealed. The AP non-toxic certification confirms classroom safety, yet the material is not intended for functional ware that must hold liquids or withstand outdoor exposure.

Questions about this item

Can the 575001 clay be used with existing classroom tools like rolling pins and cookie cutters?

Yes, the clay works with traditional techniques such as pinch, coil, slab and score-and-weld, and takes stamped impressions well, so standard classroom tools are compatible.

How do I know the 575001 clay has dried properly and is ready for painting?

Pieces become solid and durable when fully air-dried; they no longer feel cool or damp to the touch and can then be painted or varnished.

Does the 575001 pack include any tools or sealers, or must they be purchased separately?

The pack contains four 6 1/4 lb packs of white air-dry clay only; tools, paints, varnishes and any sealers are sold separately.
