Classroom Marker Set

This Crayola 587712 set supplies twelve broad-tip markers in classic colours for everyday drawing and colouring tasks. The water-based ink is certified AP non-toxic and conforms to ASTM D-4236, making it suitable for school and home use. Each marker features a conical tip that produces broad strokes for filling large areas quickly.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The water-soluble ink lays down smoothly on most paper types and resists bleeding through standard sheets during extended colouring sessions. Broad tips maintain their shape under repeated pressure, allowing consistent coverage across posters, worksheets or craft projects. Colours remain vivid without feathering when used continuously.

Upgrade Context

This pack replaces smaller assortments or dried-out markers when a full twelve-colour palette is needed for group activities or detailed illustrations. The jump is worth it when projects require the specific shades of gray, pink, light blue and tan included alongside the primary and secondary hues. Buyers needing washable ink for clothing protection should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Do the broad tips on the Crayola 587712 markers bleed through standard printer paper after hours of colouring?

The water-based ink is designed not to bleed through most papers, so extended use on standard sheets should stay clean.

What paper or surface do I need on hand before the Crayola 587712 set will work?

Any ordinary paper works; the conical broad tips lay down colour on standard sheets without special coatings.

Will the water-based ink in the Crayola 587712 set react with older solvent-based marker drawings I want to layer over?

The water-soluble formula sits on top of dried solvent ink without re-activating it, allowing clean layering.
