Cast-aluminium 57 oz scoop

This Crestware AS57 scoop is a single-piece cast-aluminium tool with a 57 oz capacity, designed for portioning bulk ingredients in commercial kitchens, bakeries and food-service breakrooms. The silver finish and non-reinforced handle keep the construction simple and easy to clean by hand.

High-volume dry-goods portioning

The generous bowl suits cooks who move large amounts of flour, sugar, rice or beans in a single pass, reducing the number of refill trips during prep. It is not autoclavable, carries no NSF certification and is not FDA compliant, so operations that require sanctioned ware or sterilisation cycles should select a different utensil.

57 oz capacity decides fit

The 57 oz bowl volume is the single measure that determines whether this scoop matches your portion size or bin opening; if your recipe calls for a smaller measure or your container neck is narrower, this unit will not work.

Questions about this item

Will the cast-aluminium scoop handle repeated dishwasher cycles?

The scoop is not autoclavable and has no FDA or NSF certification, so repeated high-temperature sanitising is not recommended; hand-washing is safer for the finish.

What limits how much the 57 oz scoop can move in continuous service?

The non-reinforced handle is the first point of fatigue when the scoop is filled to its 57 oz capacity and used repeatedly.

Does the aluminium get too hot to hold after sitting in a steam table all day?

Cast aluminium conducts heat quickly, so the handle will reach serving temperature rapidly; using a cloth or glove is advised for extended contact.
