3.84 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive with TCG Opal 2.0 encryption, 5000 MBps read, 2500 MBps write, 7300 TB endurance and 2,000,000-hour MTBF
The Crucial 3.84 TB 7450 PRO SED is an M.2 22110 internal SSD built for enterprise workloads that demand high capacity and hardware encryption. It targets system integrators and IT teams deploying storage arrays or workstations where data security and endurance are primary requirements.
The single specification that decides fit is the PCIe 4.0 NVMe interface combined with the 22110 length; the host must provide an M.2 slot wired for four lanes of PCIe 4.0 and physical clearance for a 110 mm module. Without that slot the drive cannot operate at its rated 5000 MBps read and 2500 MBps write throughput.
Installation is a straight insertion into the M.2 22110 slot and a single screw, but the 8 W sequential read power draw means the motherboard or adapter must deliver adequate current without throttling. The most frequent problem is a slot that only supports shorter 2280 modules or PCIe 3.0 signalling, which prevents the drive from being recognised or cuts performance in half.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The 7300 TB total bytes written equals the 1 DWPD rating, so you can fill the 3.84 TB drive once every day for the warranty period without exceeding the endurance spec.
PCIe 4.0 x4 caps the drive at its rated 5000 MB/s read and 2500 MB/s write; a PCIe 3.0 slot would reduce those speeds by roughly half.
The 22110 length (110 mm) requires a motherboard or carrier with an 110 mm standoff; many consumer boards only support 80 mm (2280) modules.
