Crucial X9 Pro 1TB portable SSD

The Crucial X9 Pro 1TB portable SSD provides up to 1050 MB/s sequential read and write speeds over a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection. It is built for professionals and creatives who need fast, rugged external storage for large media libraries and project files.

Check your host port and cable

Verify that your device offers a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port or compatible USB-C connection to reach the rated 1050 MB/s throughput. Older USB ports will limit performance, and the drive requires a suitable cable for full speed operation.

Suits mobile workflows; not for internal upgrades

This drive suits photographers, videographers and mobile workers who value IP55 water, dust and sand resistance plus 256-bit AES hardware encryption. It is not designed for internal installation or as a boot drive replacement.

Questions about this item

Does the Crucial X9 Pro 1TB portable SSD include the cable or must I buy it separately?

The drive ships with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable; no separate purchase is required.

Should I choose the 1TB or 2TB version of the X9 Pro for video editing?

The 2TB model gives twice the capacity for large project files while keeping the same 1050 MBps read and write speeds.

Will I actually see 1050 MB/s when copying files to the X9 Pro from my laptop?

Real-world transfer rates reach 1050 MBps read and write when the host port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2; older ports will be slower.
