Frame Dimensions and Fit

This brown wood frame measures 15 by 18 inches overall and accepts an 11 by 14 inch diploma with the included double mat. The beveled mat opening is 10.5 by 13.5 inches, revealing most of the document while covering the edges. Without the mat, the frame holds a full 15 by 18 inch certificate directly. The moulding width is 0.75 inches, giving a slim profile on the wall.

Protection and Materials

Solid wood construction supports the glazing and backing for long-term display. Acid-free mats prevent yellowing or damage to the paper over time. A UV-resistant acrylic front shields the document from light exposure, while foam board backing adds rigidity. Both materials are chosen to preserve the diploma or certificate in stable condition.

Mounting Options and Limits

The frame includes an easel stand for tabletop display and hanging hardware for wall mounting. Overall outer dimensions reach 18 by 21 inches once the moulding is added, so the wall space must accommodate that footprint. Hardware supplied is designed for the frame’s weight; heavier documents or replacement glazing could exceed the provided fixings. No additional hanging systems are included.

Questions about this item

Does the solid wood moulding or the foam board backing create noticeable heat near the certificate?

The frame uses a .75 inch solid wood moulding with foam board backing and UV resistant acrylic; no heat source is present so the certificate stays at room temperature.

What hanging hardware is already included so I do not need to buy separate hooks or wire?

The frame ships with wall hanging hardware and an easel stand attached, so you can mount it on a wall or set it on a shelf immediately.

Will my existing 11x14 diploma fit behind the 10.5x13.5 mat opening without covering any text?

The mat opening measures 10.5 by 13.5 inches, so a standard 11x14 diploma will have its edges covered by roughly a quarter inch on each side.
