Standby UPS delivers 550 VA and 330 W battery backup with simulated sine wave output, eight NEMA 5-15R outlets, USB management port, and 890 joule surge protection for desktop and networking equipment
The CyberPower CP550SLG is a 550 VA / 330 W standby UPS that delivers simulated sine-wave output to desktop PCs, workstations and network equipment during outages. Its 120 VAC input range of 96 V to 140 V and 47–63 Hz frequency window suit standard North American mains. Eight NEMA 5-15R outlets provide battery-backed and surge-protected connections for a typical workstation cluster.
The unit plugs into a NEMA 5-15P wall receptacle and presents eight outlets, freeing power strips for non-critical loads. A HID-compliant USB port links to the host computer for automatic shutdown signalling. RJ11 pass-through (one in, two out) protects a phone or modem line without extra adapters. Standby topology switches to battery within milliseconds when voltage leaves the acceptable window.
PowerPanel Personal Edition, included via the USB link, monitors battery status and triggers orderly OS shutdown before the 2-minute full-load or 8-minute half-load runtime expires. The replaceable sealed lead-acid battery recharges in about 8 hours. Audible alarms signal on-battery, low-battery and overload conditions. UL 1778, cUL 107.3 and FCC Class B approvals confirm safety compliance.
