Rack-mountable sine-wave UPS

The CyberPower PR1500RT2UC is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply delivering 1500 VA and 1500 W of sine-wave output. It fits a 2U rack space or stands as a tower and accepts 75 to 149 VAC input through a NEMA 5-15P plug on a 10 ft cord. Eight NEMA 5-15R outlets provide battery-backed and surge-protected power for connected equipment.

Suited for servers and sensitive electronics

The sine-wave output and automatic voltage regulation protect active-PFC power supplies and precision gear from distortion and brownouts. Remote management is possible via the optional RMCARD205 network card and PowerPanel Business software. Buyers needing longer runtime at full load or input voltage outside the 100 to 125 VAC nominal range should consider other solutions.

6.5-minute runtime at full 1500 W load

At maximum rated load the internal sealed lead-acid battery sustains output for 6.5 minutes, rising to 18.2 minutes at half load. Recharge to 90 % capacity takes three hours. This runtime figure determines whether the unit allows enough time for safe shutdown or generator start-up in your environment.

Questions about this item

How loud is the PR1500RT2UC when it runs continuously in a rack?

The unit uses line-interactive topology with Automatic Voltage Regulation, so it stays on utility power for minor fluctuations and only engages the battery during outages, keeping fan noise low during normal operation.

Which management cable must I already have to use the serial or dry-contact ports?

One Serial and one Dry Contact port are built in; you supply the matching DB-9 serial cable or dry-contact wiring for your monitoring system.

Will the sine-wave output and 100-125 V range work with my older active-PFC power supplies?

Yes, the pure sine-wave output at 100/110/120/125 VAC ±5% is compatible with active-PFC equipment and prevents the shutdowns that simulated-sine units can cause.
