500 VA pure sine-wave UPS

The CyberPower PR500LCDRT1U is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply rated at 500 VA and 400 W. It delivers a pure sine-wave output that matches utility power, making it suitable for servers, storage appliances and network gear with active PFC power supplies. The unit fits a standard 1U rack space or can stand as a tower.

Automatic Voltage Regulation with buck and boost

The UPS corrects brownouts and over-voltages without using battery power, preserving runtime for genuine outages. Input accepts 120 V at 57 Hz to 63 Hz through a NEMA 5-15P plug, while seven NEMA 5-15R outlets distribute conditioned power to connected equipment.

Battery runtime at half and full load

At half load the sealed lead-acid battery provides 12 minutes of backup; at full load it provides 3 minutes, enough for an orderly shutdown. Recharge to 90 percent capacity takes under six hours. A multifunction LCD panel and USB, serial and EPO ports allow local and remote monitoring. Surge protection is rated at 1030 joules.

Questions about this item

What does the 400 W rating mean for the equipment I connect?

The 400 W rating is the maximum real power the UPS can deliver to your devices; if the combined draw of your servers, storage or network gear exceeds 400 W the unit will alarm and may shut down to protect itself.

What does the USB and serial interface actually let me do?

The USB and serial ports connect the UPS to a server or management station so the included software can monitor power status, trigger graceful shutdowns and log events without needing a separate network card.

What does the 1U rackmount design require for installation?

The unit fits a standard 1U rack space and includes mounting brackets; it can also be placed vertically as a tower on a shelf or floor.
