Wi-Fi 6 access point for managed networks

The D-Link DAP-X2810 is a wireless access point built for environments managed through Nuclias Connect. It operates on 2.4 and 5 GHz bands using Wi-Fi 6. The unit is designed for wall or ceiling mounting in commercial spaces.

Thermals and power in normal use

The access point runs passively with no moving parts, so it produces no audible noise. Heat is dissipated through the chassis during typical operation. Power is supplied via Power over Ethernet, eliminating the need for a separate mains adapter.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the DAP-X2810 on a ceiling and which step is often missed?

Use the included bracket to fix the access point to a ceiling or wall, then connect the Ethernet cable to the PoE port; the step people forget is enabling the device in the Nuclias Connect controller before it will serve clients.

What part of the DAP-X2810 will need attention after long use?

The internal radios operating on 2.4 and 5 GHz bands may degrade over time, and the PoE injector or switch port supplying power should be checked if the unit drops offline.
