10-Pack Cat6 Keystone Couplers

This 10-pack of DARKROCK Cat6 RJ45 keystone couplers joins two Ethernet cables together without tools. Each unit snaps into standard keystone wall plates or patch panels for a permanent, tidy installation. They suit home networks, office wiring, audio and video runs where a single cable falls short. The ABS plastic housing keeps the coupler light and durable for everyday use.

Female-to-Female Cat6 Extension

The coupler provides a straight-through female-to-female RJ45 connection rated for Cat6 performance. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain signal integrity at the rated 1 Gbps speed. Backward compatibility with Cat5 and Cat5e cables means existing patch leads work without replacement. No crimping or punch-down tools are required for installation.

Passive Design with No Power Draw

As a passive component the coupler draws no power and adds no active electronics to the link. It produces no heat and no audible noise during normal operation. The slim profile fits alongside other keystone modules without blocking adjacent ports. The retaining clip holds each cable securely once snapped into place.

Questions about this item

What speed will I actually get through the coupler in a home network?

The coupler supports up to 1 Gbps, so a Gigabit Ethernet link will run at full speed provided both cables and the switch or router also handle 1 Gbps.

Does the RJ45 keystone jack follow a standard keystone footprint for wall plates and patch panels?

Yes, the slim design snaps into any standard keystone opening in wall plates, surface-mount boxes or patch panels without tools.

How deep is the coupler behind the wall plate, and will it fit a shallow back-box?

The compact body adds only a short distance behind the plate, allowing installation in standard shallow back-boxes used for keystone fittings.
