Converts a 4-pin Molex power connector with RPM signal to a 3-pin fan header for motherboard or controller use, 30 cm sleeved length
This 30 cm sleeved cable converts a four-pin Molex connector with RPM wire into a three-pin fan header connection. It lets builders power a Molex device from a motherboard or fan-controller header without cutting or splicing wires. The jet-black sleeve keeps the run tidy inside the case.
The adaptor passes power continuously from the Molex source to the three-pin header, so the load is limited by the header's own rating rather than the cable itself. The supplier warns that a device drawing 36 W on a header would damage the motherboard, while lighter loads such as LED strips remain safe. Sustained operation therefore depends entirely on staying within the header's unspecified current ceiling.
Installation is a straight push-fit: Molex plug into the device, three-pin plug onto the header, with no tools or software required. The only common mistake is ignoring the power warning and connecting a high-draw pump or similar load that exceeds what the header can supply. Verifying the device wattage before plugging in avoids that failure.

The 30 cm length adds negligible resistance; the RPM wire passes through unchanged so the motherboard or controller sees the true fan speed.
A standard 3-pin fan header rated for the attached device's current draw; the adapter simply bridges Molex power and the RPM signal to that header.
Yes, the 4-pin Molex plug with RPM wire connects the fan to the 3-pin header, but confirm the fan's power draw stays within the header's rating.
