3-Gang Recessed Cable Plate

This DataComm Electronics cable plate provides a three-gang recessed opening for low-voltage wiring behind flat-panel displays, amplifiers or other AV equipment. It mounts onto a low-voltage bracket and can be oriented with the opening facing up or down. The lite almond finish suits neutral wall colours.

Replaces surface-mount plates

It upgrades from visible surface-mount plates by recessing cables into the wall cavity for a cleaner look. The jump is worth it when you want cables hidden behind a mounted TV or component rack without exposed raceways. Installation requires a compatible low-voltage bracket in the wall opening.

Three-gang capacity and headroom

The three-gang layout comfortably handles multiple HDMI, coaxial, speaker or data cables running to a single location. It runs out when more than three cable groups need to terminate at the same point or when the wall cavity lacks depth for the recessed design.

Questions about this item

What mounting bracket does the 3-gang recessed cable plate attach to?

The plate installs onto a low-voltage mounting bracket with the opening facing up or down.

How is the cable plate secured to the bracket and which orientation mistake occurs most often?

Fasten the plate to the low-voltage bracket; the common error is mounting it upside-down when the opening should face the cable route.

When would the lite almond finish or the plate itself need replacement?

Replace if the lite almond colour fades, the plastic cracks, or the 3-gang opening no longer fits the low-voltage cables.
