Dayton 2VJZ6 Wire Rope Oval Sleeve 7/32 in Copper Pack 25

Wire Rope Oval Sleeve 7/32 in Copper

This pack contains twenty-five copper oval sleeves designed for 7/32 inch wire rope. Each sleeve measures 7/8 inch in overall length and features a plain finish. They are rated for lifting applications and use a swage fitting type. The product suits rigging tasks that require secure loop terminations on compatible diameter rope.

Upgrade from basic wire rope clips

These swage sleeves replace U-bolt style clips when a lower-profile, permanent connection is needed. The jump is worth it when the assembly must pass through sheaves or fairleads without snagging. They also eliminate the periodic re-torquing that clip bolts demand. The copper material provides good corrosion resistance in outdoor environments.

Install with a hand or hydraulic swager

Installation requires a swaging tool matched to the 7/32 inch sleeve size; hammer-only methods do not achieve full holding strength. Common errors include using the wrong die size, leaving gaps between compressions, or swaging over rope damage. Always inspect the completed termination before applying any load.
