Galvanised Steel Cable for General Lifting

The Dayton 33RG44 is a 500 ft length of 7 x 7 strand galvanised steel wire rope coated in orange vinyl. It is intended for lifting tasks where a visible, corrosion-resistant line is required.

Vinyl Coating and Plain Ends

The orange vinyl jacket protects the galvanised core from abrasion and weather while improving visibility on site. Plain-cut ends mean the cable must be terminated with clips, thimbles or sleeves before any load is applied.

Working Load Limit of 96 lb

The rope carries a working load limit of 96 lb against a breaking strength of 480 lbf. This capacity restricts it to light-duty hoisting, guy lines or tensioning jobs; it is not suited for overhead lifting of heavy machinery or dynamic shock loads.

Questions about this item

What working load limit does the 7x7 galvanized steel cable support?

The 7x7 galvanized steel construction is rated for a working load limit of 96 lb and a breaking strength of 480 lbf.

What diameter clearance is needed for the 1/16 inch cable with vinyl coating?

The cable itself measures 1/16 inch and the orange vinyl coating brings the overall diameter to 1/8 inch, so allow that space for routing.

How should the plain ends be terminated for lifting use?

The ends are supplied plain and unlubricated; apply proper swaged sleeves or wire-rope clips matched to 1/16 inch diameter to develop the rated 96 lb working load.
