Clear Polyester Film Tape 3/8" x 72 Yd

This clear polyester film tape comes in a case of 96 rolls, each measuring 3/8 inch wide by 72 yards long. It is suited for offices and mailrooms needing bulk supply for temporary holding, edge splicing and hinge applications.

Temperature Range and Adhesive Performance

The rubber adhesive functions across a 32 to 176 degree Fahrenheit range. At 1.6 mil thickness the tape delivers 18 ounces per inch adhesion and 34 pounds per inch tensile strength with 120 percent elongation.

96-Roll Case Quantity

A single case provides 96 rolls, making it practical for high-volume mailing or packaging operations. Buyers needing smaller quantities or a different adhesive chemistry should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 3/8" wide polyester film tape without trapping air bubbles?

Unroll the tape slowly, press the rubber adhesive side down with firm, even pressure using a plastic squeegee or fingertip, and smooth from the centre outward; the 1.6 mil film conforms best when applied at room temperature.

When will the rubber adhesive lose its 18 oz/in. bond strength and need replacement?

The adhesive remains stable across the 32°–176° F range; prolonged exposure near the upper limit or UV light gradually reduces tack, so plan to re‑tape high‑stress splices after several months of continuous service.

At what load does the 34 lbs/in. tensile strength become the limiting factor during sustained pulling?

Continuous tension approaching 34 lbs/in. will cause the 1.6 mil polyester film to elongate up to 120 % before snapping, so design splices to stay well below that threshold for long‑term reliability.
