Product identity

This is a double-sided acrylic foam tape measuring one inch wide by 36 yards long with a 60 mil thickness. It is supplied as a single roll for industrial converting and manufacturing use.

Sustained performance

The pressure-sensitive adhesive bonds on contact to give immediate handling strength and maintains very high final tack over time. It eliminates mechanical fasteners and the associated drilling, grinding or welding clean-up.

Deciding specification

The 60 mil foam thickness determines gap-filling ability and load distribution for each application. Buyers needing a thinner bond line or a different adhesive chemistry should select another product.

Questions about this item

Does the 60 mil acrylic foam generate heat or require power when holding panels all day?

No — it is a passive pressure-sensitive adhesive foam tape with no electrical components, so it produces no heat and draws no power.

What surface preparation or primer must I already have for the acrylic adhesive to bond properly?

Clean, dry surfaces free of oil or dust; no separate primer is required for the adhesive to achieve immediate handling strength.

Will the 1-inch wide black foam tape adhere to the older painted metal and plastic trim I plan to keep?

Yes — the acrylic adhesive bonds to painted metal and many automotive plastics, providing a virtually invisible fastening without drilling or welding.
