General-purpose vinyl tape for industrial marking

This black vinyl tape comes in a case of 16 rolls, each 3 inches wide and 36 yards long. It uses a rubber adhesive and measures 6 mil thick. The tape suits floor, lane and aisle marking, colour coding pipes, sealing containers and insulating ducts or underground pipes.

Rubber adhesive limits on rough or oily surfaces

The rubber adhesive delivers 26 oz/in adhesion and works across a 20 to 176 degree Fahrenheit range. It resists sun, water, oil, chemicals, acids and alkalies. Very rough, porous or continuously submerged surfaces may reduce bond strength beyond what the adhesive can sustain.

15 lbs/in tensile strength determines load-bearing

A tensile strength of 15 lbs/in and 100 percent elongation define whether the tape can handle mechanical stress such as splicing films or bundling. Buyers who need higher tensile ratings for structural reinforcement should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Should I order the single 36-yard roll or the case of 16 rolls?

The product is sold as a case containing 16 rolls, each measuring 3 inches wide by 36 yards long, so you receive the full case quantity in one purchase.

What does the 15 lbs/in tensile strength mean when I use the tape on a pipe?

It indicates the tape can withstand a pulling force of 15 pounds per inch of width before breaking, giving strong holding power for bundling or sealing pipes under tension.

How does the rubber adhesive perform across the 20 to 176 °F temperature range?

The rubber adhesive maintains its 26 oz/in adhesion from 20 °F up to 176 °F, so the tape stays bonded in cold storage areas and near hot air ducts or pipes.
